Tips for cleaning windows yourself
- Clean on a dull day — sun dries the glass too fast and leaves streaks
- Use very little soap, or none
- Wipe with a squeegee, then dry the edges with a microfibre cloth
- Clean frames and sills first, so dirt doesn't run onto clean glass
Why pure-water cleaning works better
We use a water-fed pole system with purified water. With no minerals or soap in the water, the glass dries clear with no streaks, and upper-floor windows can be reached safely from the ground.
How often should windows be cleaned?
Every 4 to 8 weeks keeps most homes looking sharp. Busy roads, trees and building work nearby may mean more often.
